What’s New and Good at the Cafe This Spring

Whether you’ve been a member for a while or are brand new to the gym, you quickly learn that “it never gets old at Fitness Incentive.” You may think that only has to do with updating the equipment or our new paint colors and aerobic room rug, but this philosophy carries on into every nook and cranny of the gym, including the Cafe.

Bringing a Bit of the Hamptons to Your Cup

By now, I am sure you have heard one of our biggest recent changes is partnering with Hampton Coffee Company. As a result, you’ll see not only crazy good coffee but new and improved coffee service equipment. We’re very excited about this partnership! Hampton Coffee Company, Long Island’s largest independent coffee roaster and retailer, is a local family-owned company, just like Fitness Incentive, that had its start in Water Mill more than twenty-seven years ago. I don’t know about you, but for our family, it’s an anticipated landmark stop whenever we head out to the Hamptons or Montauk.

One of our favorite parts about this switch is that Hampton Coffee Company offers organic coffee. It’s grown by farmers who emphasize the use of renewable resources and the conservation of soil and water to enhance environmental quality. Organic coffee farming encourages sustainability, multilayered crop production, and a rich array of wildlife! Organic coffee also has more micronutrients than regular coffee, including magnesium, potassium, niacin, B vitamins, and minerals. Some studies show that organic coffee can help those on a diet lose weight more easily because it increases the metabolic rate. And the nutrients in organic coffee may help process food better and keep your hormones in check.

Another new product in the Cafe is the aptly named Lesser Evil grab-and-go snacks for both adults and children. As a working mom of two girls, I am always on the go, and finding healthy, organic, and delicious snacks that my daughters and I will love has always been a challenge – until now. When you need a convenient, protein-packed snack to fuel your day, the Cafe has you covered! The Lesser Evil snack line includes power curls, paleo puffs, and organic popcorn. They are organic, air-puffed, gut-friendly, and pack up to 9g of protein(!) in that little bag.

When looking for healthy snacks for kids, Lesser Evil has created a collection of nutritious options that are tasty, fun, and easy to grab for on-the-go snacking!
