Healthy Holiday Hacks

Hey Fitness Friends!

Can you believe the holiday season is already here? It’s the most wonderful time of the year, but it can also be a challenging time to prioritize our health. I want to share some valuable tips and ideas to help you stay on track, make meaningful movement a part of your holiday tradition, and maybe even discover some new favorite activities!

 Prioritizing Health During the Holidays

 1. Schedule it in.

Treat your workouts as non-negotiable appointments. Book them in your calendar and show up!

2. Find activities you enjoy.

Don’t force yourself into a gym routine if that’s not your thing. Try outdoor activities, dance classes, or yoga to keep things fresh and fun!

 3. Make it a family affair.

Invite your loved ones to join you in physical activities. This can be a great way to spend quality time together and create healthy habits.

Meaningful Movement Ideas for the Holidays

 1. Volunteer work- Give back to your community by participating in charity runs, walks, or volunteer work that requires physical activity.

 2. Outdoor adventures- Take advantage of the winter weather and go for a hike, have a snowball fight, or try ice skating!

 3. Home workouts- Follow along with our gym’s at-home workout videos or find your own favorite online classes. This way, you can stay active even on busy holiday days!

 Healthy Holiday Hacks

 1. Stay hydrated.

Drink plenty of water throughout the day to avoid overindulging in holiday treats.

 2. Mindful eating.

Savor your favorite holiday foods, but do it mindfully. Pay attention to your hunger and fullness cues.

3. Get enough sleep!

Aim for 7-8 hours of sleep each night to help regulate your appetite and metabolism.
