Eileen and her daughter Jillian have continued to encourage me. I am pursuing my quest, but now it’s for ME! I’m stronger, I have gained balance, confidence and have dropped 35 pounds!
Jeanmarie Sheehan
Jeanmarie Sheehan is a good friend of a fellow longtime gym member and trainee, who suggested she give group training with me a try. Her daughter was getting married, and she wanted to be the best she could be. She was de-conditioned and wanted change. We trained for a bit; then I convinced her the contest would be a great way to achieve her goal for the wedding. There she would learn better food choices, recipes, and workouts. Well, the Fantastic 4 Challenge, was the perfect motivation for Jean Marie. She worked hard and was committed to the group. Not all the ladies knew each other, but they came together. Their friendships with one another grew, which further sealed everyone’s commitment. Jeanmarie flourished becoming both stronger and thinner. And her form improved dramatically. The end of the contest quickly led to the next challenge, the Summer Challenge with Jillian and myself. She trained with the group, followed my meal plan, weighed in weekly, read our emails and checked in for accountability. There, Jeanmarie saw the finish line and committed further to her “quest for the dress.” I am so proud of her accomplishment and her commitment to a brand new lifestyle of health and fitness!
Jeanmarie’s Story
It all began with the quest for a dress! Last fall my daughter became engaged, and we started to plan a beautiful wedding to take place on Labor Day weekend. Of course, this entailed looking for a mother-of-the-bride gown. Wow! They arrived at my doorstep, and I was more and more disappointed with each arrival. It wasn’t because of their color or fabric; it was the body they were trying to fit!
With encouragement from my friend Deb Melito, I joined the Beach Body Fitness Challenge. I had been a member at FI for years but only took advantage of the treadmill! Deb has worked with her trainer, Eileen Jacinth, for some time. She introduced us, and that was it. I was convinced and became wholly committed. I jumped on the low-carb, low-calorie diet plan and was astounded at my ability to participate in the group training. It started with two group meetings per week and grew to include extra weekend classes and spin!
This is the person who in CYO basketball only scored for the other team! Never have I considered myself an athlete! My husband, Tim, has been blown away! After telling him last spring that before a 45-minute training session, I did 8 miles in spin, he said, “Where has this inner athlete been hiding all these years!” The more I exercised, the better I felt. I am super fortunate to have support at home – and Tim has been over the top with encouragement and kindness.
Eileen and her daughter Jillian have continued to encourage me. I am pursuing my quest, but now it’s for ME! I’m stronger, I have gained balance, confidence and have dropped 35 pounds! Thank you, Eileen, for all the support and being my cheerleader! Thank you, Fitness Incentive, for giving me the tools to reach my goals!
